Domain redirect campaign setup

Set up a domain redirect campaign on UluMob to buy visitors from parked and mistyped domains, billed per thousand visits.

Domain redirect traffic comes from people who typed a parked, expired or mistyped domain. Instead of an empty page, the visitor is sent straight to your landing page. As with popunder, there is no creative: your page is the ad. See Domain redirect.

Pricing

Pricing model Current default floor Charged when
CPM $0.50 per 1,000 visits The visitor is redirected to your page
CPA $0.50 per conversion A valid postback arrives

CPA suits offers: a direct link or smartlink sends the visitor to your offer, and you pay only for the conversions your postback reports, at the payout you set per event (lead, sale and so on) in the campaign's Offer step. Country floors can be higher; see the traffic volume page. The current default minimum daily budget is $15.

The redirect itself is the impression, so you are billed once per visit at the moment of the redirect. There is no separate click charge.

What each ad needs

Field Required Limit
Destination URL Yes http or https, up to 2,048 characters, macros allowed

Set up the campaign

  1. Go to /app/advertiser/campaigns/new.
  2. In Basics, choose Domain redirect, then CPM or CPA.
  3. Enter your bid and daily budget.
  4. Choose countries in Geo and devices in Traffic.
  5. In Advanced, set a frequency cap and, if needed, a Keywords rule (see below).
  6. In Ads, enter the destination URL.
  7. Select Create campaign.

Keywords

A keyword rule matches words in the address and title of the page the visitor comes from, one keyword per line. Include buys only pages with one of the words; exclude never buys them. Keyword rules work for every format except push. A page that sends no address or title matches no include rule, so start with exclude rules, or include broad words, and watch the volume.

Destination URL

https://tracker.example/c?cid={click_id}&domain={domain}&cost={cost}
  • {domain} carries the domain the visitor came from, so you can see which themes convert.
  • {cost} carries what this visit cost you.

See the macros list.

Tips

  • Redirect volume is steady but limited by the number of parked and mistyped domains in your countries. A very narrow targeting set may get little traffic.
  • The visitor typed a domain with something in mind. Offers that match common intents, such as utilities and VPNs, tend to fit.
  • Group reports by site to see which domains send visitors who convert, then block the rest. Sub-ID and site reports cannot be combined with country, format, OS, device or ad. See Source lists and blocking.
  • Use Smart CPM if you want to pay one cent above the next bid rather than your full bid.
