Native campaign setup

Set up a native campaign on UluMob with an image, a 60-character headline and a brand name, billed per click.

Native ads are image and headline cards placed in a site's recommendation widget, styled like the content around them. Clicks are deliberate, so the landing page can ask for more reading than a popunder page. See Native.

Pricing

Pricing model Current default floor Charged when
CPC $0.003 per click The visitor clicks

CPC is the only pricing model for native. Country floors can be higher; see the traffic volume page. The current default minimum daily budget is $15.

What each ad needs

Field Required Limit
Destination URL Yes http or https, up to 2,048 characters, macros allowed
Title Yes Up to 60 characters
Image Yes JPG, PNG, GIF or WebP, up to 1024 KB
Description No Up to 45 characters
Brand name No Up to 40 characters

Square (1:1) and wide (1.91:1) images suit most widgets. Images must be between 100x50 and 4000x4000 pixels.

Set up the campaign

  1. Go to /app/advertiser/campaigns/new.
  2. In Basics, choose Native. The pricing model is CPC.
  3. Enter your bid and daily budget.
  4. Choose countries in Geo and devices in Traffic.
  5. In Advanced, consider a Categories rule to run only on, or stay off, certain site categories.
  6. In Ads, enter the destination URL, title, optional description and brand name.
  7. Under Image, choose an image from your creatives or select Upload.
  8. Add more ads to test headlines and images, then select Create campaign.

Site categories and site types

Native performance depends heavily on the content around the card. In Advanced you can include or exclude:

  • Categories: the categories publishers assign to their sites.
  • Site types: the type of site the zone belongs to.
  • Domains: specific sites, one per line, for example news.example.org.

An include rule means the campaign runs only where a value matches. A site without a category never matches an include rule.

Writing native ads

  • Write the headline as a plain description of what the reader gets. Headlines that promise something the page does not deliver are refused in review.
  • The brand name tells the reader who is behind the ad. Use the name that appears on your landing page.
  • Test several image and headline pairs as separate ads, with Ad rotation set to By weight or Evenly at random.

Tracking

Add {click_id} to the destination URL and set up a postback so conversions appear in your reports next to cost. Native is CPC only, so conversions are reported but not charged.
