Review and approval

How UluMob reviews new campaigns and ads, how long it takes, which edits trigger another review and what to do after a rejection.

Every new campaign, and every new or edited ad, is checked against the advertising policy before it serves. Review usually takes up to one business day.

Campaign and ad statuses

Status Meaning
In review Waiting for a reviewer. Nothing serves yet.
Active Approved and buying, as long as balance and budgets allow.
Paused Approved but stopped by you.
Rejected Refused. The reason is shown on the campaign and on each refused ad.
Completed The campaign has finished.

Each ad has its own status too. On the edit page, every ad shows a badge such as In review, Active or Rejected, and a refused ad shows the reviewer's reason in red.

What happens at review

  • A reviewer looks at the campaign and its ads, including the destination URL, creatives, titles and any third-party pixel.
  • If at least one ad is approved, the campaign becomes Active and the approved ads serve. Refused ads stay refused.
  • If every ad is refused, the campaign becomes Rejected, with the reason.
  • You get an email with the decision.

Edits that trigger another review

Changing what visitors see sends that ad back to review. These ad fields are reviewed:

  • Destination URL
  • Image, icon or banner size
  • Title, description or brand name
  • VAST tag URL
  • Third-party impression pixel

Adding a new ad also sends it to review.

On a running campaign, the approved ads keep serving while new or edited ads wait. If a new ad is refused, the approved ones keep running.

Edits that do not trigger review

These take effect without another review:

  • Bid, bidding strategy, budgets and dates
  • Targeting, schedules and caps
  • Ad weight, bid for the ad and bids by country
  • Blocking a zone or sub-ID from a report
  • Pausing and resuming

After a rejection

  1. Open the campaign from /app/advertiser/campaigns and select Edit.
  2. Read the reason shown on the campaign and on each refused ad.
  3. Fix the ads or the landing page as described.
  4. Select Save changes.

Saving a rejected campaign resubmits it: the campaign and its refused ads go back to In review. You do not need to create a new campaign.

Pause, resume and delete

  • Pause and Resume on the campaigns list work only on approved campaigns. A campaign in review or rejected cannot be paused or resumed.
  • Delete stops the campaign serving at once and removes it from your list. Past statistics stay in your reports.
  • Removing an ad from a campaign and saving deletes that ad.

Getting through review the first time

  • Make sure the landing page loads, works on the devices you target and matches the ad.
  • Check the rules for your vertical on the verticals pages, for example licensing for gambling offers or visible pricing for subscriptions.
  • Do not imitate system alerts, device warnings or close buttons in creatives.
  • Use a destination URL that will keep working. Changing it later sends the ad back to review.
