Conversions, hold and approval
How a conversion moves from pending to approved or rejected, when its payout becomes withdrawable, how to dispute a rejection, and what the fraud checks look at.
Every conversion an advertiser reports on your links appears at /app/affiliate/conversions with its offer, link, event, payout, status and your sub IDs.
Pending, approved, rejected
| Status | What it means for your money |
|---|---|
| Pending | The conversion waits for the offer's hold. Its payout is on hold: it shows on your Payouts screen as Conversions on hold, but you cannot withdraw it yet. |
| Approved | The hold ended, or the advertiser or our team approved it. The payout moved to your earnings and can be paid out. |
| Rejected | The advertiser rejected it with a reason during the hold, or our team did. The payout is taken back. |
The hold is set per offer and shown on the offer page; offers that set none hold conversions for 7 days. An offer without a hold approves its conversions at once. Approval runs by itself every few minutes once a hold ends.
The page shows your pending, approved and rejected totals and a calendar of the days on which pending payouts are due to be approved.
Events, rebills and unsubscribes
An offer can pay for several events: a lead, a sale, an install, a deposit, and rebills (each renewal of a subscription is paid again). An unsubscribe is recorded so you can see it in your statistics; it pays nothing and takes nothing back.
Rejections and disputes
An advertiser can reject a conversion only while its hold runs, and must give a reason, which you see next to it. After the hold only our team can reject an approved conversion, for example after a proven chargeback; the payout is then taken back from your earnings as far as they were not paid out yet.
If you think a rejection is wrong, select Dispute and tell us why the conversion is real. Our team reviews it and either keeps the rejection or overturns it; an overturned conversion is approved and paid. Each rejection can be disputed once. Conversions refused by the automatic fraud checks cannot be disputed.
Fraud checks
Every new conversion is checked for signs of fraud: a conversion within seconds of its click, a country that differs from the click's, many conversions from the same visitor or IP address, a conversion rate far above the offer's average, and a high share of rejected conversions. Depending on the platform's settings a signal only marks the conversion for review, makes it wait longer, or refuses it.
Statistics
Link statistics (/app/affiliate/stats) show conversions per status, what you earn from them (pending and approved) and your earnings per click, by day, offer, link, country or sub ID.
