Voluum
Connect Voluum to UluMob, pass the UluMob click ID as externalid and send conversions back with the fixed postback URL.
This guide connects a Voluum campaign to UluMob traffic. You pass the UluMob click ID into Voluum as the external ID, and Voluum sends it back in the postback when a conversion happens.
The panel at /app/advertiser/tracking has a Tracker setup section with a ready-made line for Voluum, already filled with your secret. Use Copy postback to copy it. The macro names below follow Voluum's public documentation; check them in your Voluum account before going live, because tracker macros can change.
What goes where
| Where | Value |
|---|---|
| Click parameter in the UluMob destination URL | externalid={click_id} |
| Postback URL in Voluum | https://ulumob.com/postback?cid={externalid}&payout={payout}&type=A&key=YOUR_SECRET |
The postback uses the fixed-URL mode: key carries your postback secret instead of a signature, and cid, payout and type are accepted aliases of click_id, payout and conv_type. See Postback setup.
Step 1: set up UluMob as a traffic source in Voluum
- In Voluum, create a new traffic source for UluMob.
- Set the external ID parameter so that Voluum reads it from a URL parameter named
externalid, filled by the UluMob macro{click_id}. - Paste the postback URL from the Tracker setup section into the traffic source's postback field.
- Optionally add custom parameters for other UluMob macros, such as
zone={zone_id},campaign={campaign_id},geo={geo}andsub={subid}, so you can break down Voluum reports by them. - If you want Voluum to record cost per visit, map its cost parameter to
{cost}.{cost}is filled for popunder, domain redirect and CPC clicks. See the macros list.
Step 2: create the Voluum campaign
Create the campaign in Voluum with UluMob as the traffic source. Voluum gives you a campaign URL.
Step 3: use the Voluum URL in UluMob
Paste the Voluum campaign URL as the Destination URL of your UluMob ad, with the click parameter added. It looks similar to this:
https://tracker.example/abcd1234?externalid={click_id}&zone={zone_id}&sub={subid}
Every ad in the campaign needs the click parameter, so add it to each one.
Step 4: test
- Wait for at least one real click or open after the campaign is approved, then find its external ID in Voluum's click log.
- In the UluMob panel, paste the postback URL with that ID into Test a postback and select Test. Nothing is recorded or charged.
- If the answer is
ok, Voluum's postback is ready.
See Testing postbacks.
Conversion types and payouts
- The template sends
type=A. To report different events, such as registrations and deposits, create more types under Conversion types and change the letter in a second postback. payoutis your revenue and only appears in reports. CPA campaigns are charged their own CPA bid.- If your Voluum setup can send a transaction ID, add
&txid=with Voluum's transaction ID macro. It matters when a type allows repeats.
