Add a website
Register your site, prove ownership with a meta tag, a file or a DNS TXT record, and get it approved so its zones can serve ads.
Ads only serve on websites that you have added, verified and that UluMob has approved. You manage your sites at /app/publisher/sites.
1. Add the site
- Open
/app/publisher/sitesand select Add website. - Enter a name for your own reference and the full address, for example
https://example.com. - Choose how you will prove ownership (see below) and save.
- Open Edit details to describe the site and list its categories and languages. Languages are two-letter codes such as
enortr.
The URL must use a public domain name. IP addresses and names like localhost are refused. A leading www. is dropped, so www.example.com and example.com are the same site. You cannot add the same domain twice to one account.
Categories and languages are not just labels. Advertisers can target by site category and site language, so accurate values help your zones receive relevant campaigns.
2. Prove it is yours
After saving, the site shows a verification code and where to place it. Pick one of three methods.
Meta tag
Paste one line into the <head> of your home page at https://{your-domain}/:
<meta name="ulumob-verification" content="{your-code}">
File
Create a text file named ulumob-verification.txt in your site root, containing only your code, so that it loads at:
https://{your-domain}/ulumob-verification.txt
DNS TXT record
Add a TXT record on your domain at your DNS host, with this value:
ulumob-verification={your-code}
DNS changes can take some time to become visible. If the check fails, wait and try again.
3. Run the check
Select Check now on the site once the code is in place. UluMob then looks for it.
- The meta tag and file checks load your site over HTTPS. A redirect between
example.comandwww.example.comis followed; redirects to other domains or to plain HTTP are not. - The check can be run up to six times a minute.
- If the code is not found, the response repeats where it should be. Fix the placement and check again.
If the domain has already been verified by another UluMob account, verification is refused. If you believe the domain is yours, write to [email protected].
4. Review
Verification proves ownership. It does not yet allow paid ads. A reviewer then looks at the site, usually within a day, and approves or rejects it. You receive an email with the outcome.
- Approved: zones on the site start serving. If you have not pasted their codes yet, do it now.
- Rejected: the email gives the reason. Edit the site details to address it; saving a rejected site sends it back to review.
Your content must follow the publisher policy.
Categories and blocked ads
Pick the categories that describe the site from the list; advertisers can target them. Under Ads you do not want on this site you choose the ad categories (what the advertiser offers) that never serve on the site's zones. Sensitive categories such as gambling and crypto start blocked on a new site; allow them if they suit your audience. A zone can block more categories of its own.
ads.txt
The site details show the line to add to https://your-domain/ads.txt, for example ulumob.com, 123, DIRECT, where 123 is your account number. Buyers compare it with our public sellers.json. Select Check ads.txt after adding it. The platform may require the line before a site counts as verified.
Editing and removing a site
Use Edit details to change the name, description, categories, languages and site type at any time. The domain is fixed; to use a different domain, add a new site.
Remove website archives all of its zones. Their codes stop filling immediately. Past statistics and earnings from the site are kept.
Next step
Create ad zones for the site and place their codes. See Zone codes.
