Self-serve advertising
Self-serve advertising lets advertisers create, fund, target and manage campaigns directly in a platform, without an account manager placing the order.
How it works
In a managed setup, an advertiser sends a brief and a budget, and a sales team sets up the campaign. In a self-serve setup, the advertiser does it all in a dashboard or through an API: deposits funds, picks a format and pricing model, sets targeting and bids, uploads creatives and reads the reports. The platform still enforces its rules, such as minimum bids, minimum budgets and ad review, but the buying decisions belong to the buyer.
The advantage is speed and control: a buyer can launch a test in minutes and change a bid as soon as the data says so. The trade-off is responsibility for the setup, including conversion tracking.
On UluMob
UluMob is self-serve. You add funds by card from $50, and campaigns spend from that prepaid balance and stop when it runs out. In the panel or through the REST API you choose the format, pricing model, bid strategy, daily and total budget, frequency cap, schedule and targeting.
Each format has its own default floors, and countries can have higher ones, listed on the traffic volume page. The minimum daily budget is $15, or $50 for video. New campaigns and new or edited ads are reviewed against the advertising policy before they serve, usually within one business day. See media buying for the optimization loop that self-serve makes possible.
