Push notification ads

Push notification ads are short messages sent to a website's opted-in subscribers and shown on their device like any other notification.

How it works

A website asks visitors for permission to send browser notifications. People who accept become subscribers, and the site's ad partner can then deliver ads to them even when they are not on that site. The ad arrives with a title, a line of text, an icon and sometimes a larger image. A tap opens the advertiser's landing page.

Subscriber age matters. People who subscribed recently tend to click more often; older subscribers click less and usually cost less. Because the message is a line or two, offers that can be understood at once, such as an app, a quiz or a finance lead, suit the format better than offers that need explaining.

Example

A push campaign gets 400 clicks at a $0.02 CPC, so it costs 400 × $0.02 = $8. If 12 of those visitors convert, the cost per conversion is $8 / 12 = $0.67.

On UluMob

Push campaigns are billed per click (CPC) or per conversion (CPA), with default floors of $0.003 per click and $0.50 per conversion and a $15 minimum daily budget. Each ad takes a title of up to 30 characters, a description of up to 45, a 192×192 icon and an optional 360×240 image. Subscriber-age targeting lets you choose between fresh and older lists.

Push reaches subscribers on Android and on desktop Chrome, Edge and Firefox, not on iPhones. To reach iPhone and Mac visitors with a similar look, use in-page push.
