In-page push

In-page push is an ad styled like a notification but drawn inside the web page, so it needs no subscription and works in any browser.

How it works

Classic push depends on a subscriber list and on browser support for notifications. In-page push removes both. The publisher's tag draws a small card, usually in a corner of the page, with a title, a line of text and an icon. It looks familiar to anyone used to notifications, but it exists only while the visitor is on the page, and it can be closed with one tap.

That makes the first few words decisive. The card competes with the content the visitor came for, so a clear title and a recognizable icon do most of the work.

Example

A card is shown 250,000 times and clicked 2,000 times: CTR = 2,000 / 250,000 × 100 = 0.8%. At a $0.01 CPC you pay $20, which works out to an effective CPM of $20 / 250,000 × 1000 = $0.08.

On UluMob

In-page push is billed per click only (CPC), from a default floor of $0.003 per click, with a $15 minimum daily budget. Ads take a title of up to 30 characters, a description of up to 45 and a 192×192 icon. Because no subscription is involved, the format reaches visitors on iPhone and Mac Safari, which push notification ads cannot. The card sits in a corner and does not block the publisher's content.
