FTD (first-time deposit)

An FTD is a customer's first deposit with an operator, used as the main conversion event and payout trigger in iGaming and trading offers.

How it works

In iGaming, betting and trading, a registration alone earns the operator nothing. The first deposit is the point where a sign-up becomes a paying customer, so operators and affiliate programs often pay per FTD instead of per registration, sometimes with a minimum deposit amount. Some deals combine a fixed payment per FTD with a share of the customer's later revenue.

Deposits can come hours or days after the click, so tracking has to carry the click ID from the ad through registration and wait for the deposit event. Late conversions are normal, and the attribution window has to be long enough to catch them.

Example

A campaign spends $1,200 and brings 400 registrations and 48 FTDs. Registration-to-deposit rate = 48 / 400 = 12%. Cost per FTD = $1,200 / 48 = $25. With a $40 payout per FTD, revenue is $1,920 and ROAS = 1,920 / 1,200 = 1.6.

On UluMob

Report FTDs by postback with their own conversion type, for example A for registration and B for first deposit, so each is counted and capped separately. By default a click can still receive conversions for 7 days, which covers most delayed deposits. CPA campaigns are charged per signed conversion. iGaming offers must follow local licensing and consumer rules in each targeted country, and every campaign and ad is reviewed before it serves.
